- 🔧 No dedicated stop valve: A proper isolation stop valve is not provided for the water heater. This makes future servicing, maintenance, or emergency isolation more difficult.
- ⚠️ Corrosion on pipe fittings: Visible corrosion is present on the galvanised pipe and threaded fittings below the heater. Prolonged corrosion may eventually lead to water leakage and should be replaced during the new installation.

- 🔴 Severe corrosion on the tank base: Heavy rust is present around the bottom flange and support ring of the water heater. This is a common sign of long-term ageing and may indicate deterioration of the tank structure or prolonged exposure to leaking water.
- 🚱 Safety fittings not visible: Essential components such as the approved double check valve and full-sized isolation stop valve are not visible in the photo. These should be verified during replacement and upgraded where necessary to meet current installation standards.
- ⚠️ Corrosion indicates prolonged moisture exposure: The rust concentrated around the lower section suggests the heater has been exposed to moisture over an extended period, either from condensation, previous seepage, or ageing of the tank and fittings.
