A homeowner at UE Square contacted Homeone after discovering their Alpha ALP 25L-H storage water heater was leaking heavily. Our inspection confirmed a case of "Water Heater Rusty"—with corrosion visibly spreading across the tank body and cold-water inlet.
The issue had worsened to the point where rusty water had entered the old electrical connector box located beneath the heater, rendering it unsafe and inoperative. Several pipe fittings were also corroded and leaking, posing further risk of water damage and electrical faults.
To resolve the issue, Homeone supplied and installed a brand new Ariston PRO RS J 25 water heater—complete with new stainless steel piping (within 1 metre), a PUB-compliant double check valve, and a new heater connector box to restore a safe power supply.
Old Water Heater:
Alpha ALP25L-H
Old Water Heater:
Joven PRO RS J 25
The old Alpha ALP 25L-H was leaking badly, with visible water heater rusty stains forming on the tank casing and around the cold inlet pipe. The corroded state of the fittings led to multiple active leaks.
In addition, the existing heater power supply connector box—positioned directly below the leaking tank—was soaked in rusty water, causing internal faults and a serious electrocution risk.
Immediate replacement and full system upgrade were necessary for safety and compliance.
Homeone recommended replacing the old unit with the Ariston PRO RS J 25 storage water heater, known for its durability and compact design, ideal for concealed ceiling spaces and condominium installations.
Key improvements:
New heater connector box installed in a safe, dry location
Upgraded stainless steel inlet and outlet piping within 1 metre
Installed double check valve for backflow protection (SS636 compliance)
Earth bonding to meet CP5 electrical safety standards
All work was performed by our team under PUB-licensed supervision, with safety testing and compliance documentation completed.
