Upon site inspection, our team identified a clear case of “Water Heater Corrosion.” The old Ariston AN 30 R showed signs of tank rust, with leakage forming at the base and pipe joints.

The heater was also installed without several critical safety features. There was no double check valve to prevent backflow into the potable water system, no drainpipe for the pressure relief valve (posing a risk of uncontrolled hot water discharge), and no electrical bonding, which is a direct violation of CP5:1998 safety standards.

The AN2 30 RS has been newly installed to the existing water heater system, with all connecting pipework made of stainless steel. The installation includes a new stop valve, double check valve, drain pipe, electric bonding, and 2.5mm² wire, and a submission has been filed to PUB to ensure safety and compliance with PUB regulations. We completed the following upgrades:

Installed double check valve to prevent backflow (SS636-compliant)
Connected the drainpipe to the nearest floor trap to manage overflow
Applied electrical bonding to metal components for safety
Replaced inlet and outlet pipework with stainless steel fittings
