A homeowner at Cairnhill Nine faced recurring issues with their Joven storage water heater. The model, a JH56, was no longer producing consistent hot water. After several interruptions, they contacted Homeone for expert help and a long-term fix.
Upon consultation, we identified that the water heater had reached the end of its lifespan. The customer opted for a new Joven water heater installation, upgrading to the JSH56 model. Homeone scheduled the replacement and planned a ceiling access modification to ensure full accessibility for both the new installation and future maintenance.

Our technician arrived on-site to evaluate the situation before the Joven water heater installation work began. We verified that the Joven JH56 unit was old and underperforming, with signs of wear and inconsistent heating response. Additionally, the original access panel was not usable—aircon piping had blocked direct access to the heater, making both removal and maintenance impossible through the current panel.
A proper assessment of plumbing and electrical connections was also carried out. Fortunately, the electrical circuit, bonding, and plumbing layout were in good condition and required only minor adjustments to support the new Joven JSH56 heater.
To address the homeowner’s hot water problems, we proposed a complete Joven water heater replacement, using the updated JSH56 model. This model matched the original capacity and mounting requirements while offering enhanced energy efficiency.
Additionally, our team proposed cutting a new access panel directly beneath the heater to bypass the obstructed aircon pipework. This change ensures proper accessibility for safe installation and ease of future servicing. All works would be handled by our trained team, supervised by a PUB licensed plumber to ensure compliance with local plumbing and electrical safety standards, meeting the expectations of a trusted Joven water heater installation process.
